8 Days of Luxury Wildlife Safari

When you arrive in Nairobi, our ground representative will meet you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, and transfer you to the luxurious Fairmont Norfolk Hotel. You will be briefed about your holiday.
The Norfolk Hotel is a short drive through the city, just 20kms from the airport. This resort is about a 10 minutes’ walk from the city center, so you will literary be staying in one of Africa’s fastest growing cities. Nonetheless, you won’t experience the noise and commotion that comes with living in the city because the resort sits on a quiet spot. The tropical gardens mute the sound so that from your room, you only feel a cool breeze whistling through the trees.
Norfolk Hotel has exceptionally good restaurants and bars such as the Lord Delamere Terrace, Tatu and Cin Cin Bar. The Lord Delamere Terrace, where you will probably spend most of your time, is a modern alfresco style restaurant loved by business and leisure travelers who drop in for lunch. Rooms and suites have modern facilities and amenities such as a butler service, mini bar, satellite television and air conditioning.
Check in and relax in your room or in the general use areas. Later, have dinner and get some rest before the real adventure kicks off.
Wake up to the bright African sun dancing through the trees in the hotel. Have breakfast, and leave for a thorough exploration safari in the city’s attractions. Start your excursion with a trip to David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which shelters orphaned animals like elephants. It is about 32kms from Norfolk Hotel. Daphne Sheldrick, the wife of a famous conservationist David Sheldrick, built this sanctuary in honour of her husband.
Later, check into the Giraffe Center for a day with Rothschild giraffes. View these animals from an elevated platform and take a tour of this giraffes breeding centre. You will have time for lunch at Karen Blixen Camp. Later, stroll through the garden and enjoy the spectacular view of Ngong Hills. Learn about Karen Blixen and her life in the coffee farm whose main house is now a museum. Get back to Fairmont Norfolk Hotel in the evening, have dinner, and rest.

After breakfast, leave Fairmont Norfolk Hotel for Mount Kenya. Enjoy a three hours road trip across the countryside to the foothills of this scenic mountain. Mount Kenya Safari Club is a plush resort on a large landscaped garden. It has modern, spacious suites to give you a calm and beautiful haven where you can rest after a day’s exploration of the region.
You don’t have to leave this property to have a good time. Activities on-site include horse riding, playing golf on the lush course, bowling, swimming or viewing wildlife in the animal orphanage.
The next day, leave Mount Kenya Club after breakfast for a day out of town. Drive out of Nanyuki town for a safari in Ol Pejeta Conservancy. See elephants, zebras, impalas, rhinos, chimpanzees and numerous birds. Break for lunch and enjoy a sumptuous buffet meal before an afternoon game drive. Later, drive back to Mount Kenya Safari Club for dinner and rest.

Fly from Nanyuki Airstrip to Maasai Mara for another adventure in Kenya. Check in and have lunch at Mara Safari Club. It is a luxurious lodge with classy facilities and amenities. Its tents have large decks from where guests view wildlife without leaving the property. Explore Maasai Mar in the afternoon to see elephants, wildebeests, lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes etc.
When you get back, cool off in the swimming pool or take a hot shower. Enjoy a round of drinks at sunset, around a campfire. Have dinner and hot the sack.
Wake up refreshed and eager for two days of adventure. In addition to game drives, there are hot air balloon safaris and cultural visits at a nominal fee.
