Ol Malo Lodge + House
Ol Malo Lodge stands out in a rugged location that is known for exemplary game sightings. This lodge is situated in the northern corner of Laikipia plateau, in northern Kenya.
This lodge is made of locally assembled materials, and it sits on a rocky slope looking out to the beautiful plains. It has sitting and dining rooms, where guests can relax away from the sun. At night, the open fireplaces are the assembly point to mingle and share experiences.
Ol Malo Lodge has two sets of cottages made of natural rocks and wood from olive trees, a winding pathway leads from the main area to these cottages.
Ol Malo House is the latest addition to accommodation facilities in OL Malo Lodge. It has sitting and dining areas plus accommodation for 12 guests.
Activities and Experiences
Guided game drives and bush walks are daily adventures to experience in the lodge and the house. There are thousands of large and small animals in the region. Large, famous species include the elephant, the buffalo, reticulated giraffe and the Greater kudu. There are over 300 bird species to see. A Samburu guide and driver accompany guests.
Other thrilling adventures in Ol Malo House + Lodge are bush dining, sundowners, horseback riding, camel riding, mountain climbing, swimming and cultural visits.
The most memorable of these activities is game viewing in the leopard blind. This adrenaline-pumping activity involves spending the night outdoors hoping to see the elusive leopard species. The lodge sets up four bunk beds in a leopard blind for this adventure.
Ol Malo Lodge has four en-suite chalets. The double rooms have a deck for viewing wildlife in utmost privacy. On the other hand, Ol Malo House has six bedrooms, which gives it a capacity of 12 guests. It has double bedrooms.
Both the lodge and the house are suitable for families and groups. They are spacious, they have all the necessary facilities and amenities, and they have a lot of room for families with young children.

Ol Malo Lodge + House have sitting and dining rooms with fireplaces. There is sufficient room around the swimming pool for parties and barbecues. Location/How to Get to
Air travel is the most convenient way to get to the lodge. There are daily scheduled flights from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport to Loisaba Airstrip. The road transfer to the lodge takes about 40 minutes, and it is inclusive. There is also a daily flight from Wilson Airport to Nanyuki Airstrip, where guests can board a private charter flight to Ol Malo Airstrip. Alternatively, guests board a private charter flight to Ol Malo Airstrip.
Al fresco dining in Ol Malo House is on an open area with a sweeping view of the region. Both Ol Malo Lodge and House have dining rooms where chefs serve delicious fresh meals.
The swimming pool area has a barbecue spot for parties and outdoor dining. On the other hand, safari enthusiasts can dine in the bush.
