Amboseli is known as being one of Africa’s best known game spotting locations. The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to about 800 free-ranging elephants. The Amboseli is also home to several bird species, due to the variety of habitats such as the wetland marshes to the savanna scrub to acacia woodland. Tsavo National Park was established on 1st April, 1948 with an area of 21,812 Km2. It is the largest Park in Kenya. The park was divided into two parts with a railroad separating the park into Tsavo West and Tsavo East.
